The angle is the ability
Hookshot's value is entirely in which wall you attach to. The same cast from the wrong side lands you in front of the enemy team instead of behind their carry.

Practise the entries, not the montage
Two side-lane walls and one river wall per map side cover the vast majority of real games. Learn those cold before the long-range plays that require the enemy to stand still.

The ultimatum is a commitment, not an escape
Once cast you are in that circle for its duration. Use it on the target you can actually finish, not the one you would prefer to kill.
