Against a durable frontline

Sustained attack output beats burst when the target has to be chewed through. Prioritise the evolve that keeps you attacking rather than the one that spikes once.

Against a dive composition

You will not be free to walk forward, so the repositioning evolve stops being a luxury. Take it before the damage component even if the scoreboard says otherwise.

Against poke and siege

Range extension is the only evolve that changes whether you can participate at all. Everything else assumes you reached the fight.
